HOW CAP BEGAN

BORN THROUGH THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

CAP began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when isolation, uncertainty, disrupted routines, and limited access to creative community made the need for connection and practical support impossible to ignore.

Why CAP Exists

CAP grew out of the pandemic years, when creatives, youth, families, and community members were trying to adjust to a changed world. Through the BTBSN studio, we saw people needing space, structure, support, creativity, and connection, even when they could not always afford traditional services.

Instead of waiting for perfect conditions, we kept meeting people where they were, while asking them to meet us with honesty, effort, and willingness. That process shaped CAP into a mentorship and creative development model rooted in music, media, mental health-informed support, community, and opportunity.

BlackTeaBrownSuga Network builds creative ecosystems where people heal, grow, create, and sustain themselves through music, media, mentorship, events, and community programming.
